We are celebrating in the studio today!! Our Cornish business is on the shortlist of the Country Homes & Interiors Magazine, My Country Business Awards! Now in their sixth fantastic year, the My Country Business Awards aim to promote and empower country-based entrepreneurs. When we decided to apply for this prestigious award a few months ago, we knew that competition would be stiff. We sent off the application, and thought no more of it…..then, out of the blue came a phone call, from Alison at Country Homes and Interiors Magazine, telling us we had been shortlisted! Well,"not much ever happens in Cornwall", I joked, "so this is a fantastic surprise"!! Over the past three years, our business has grown from just me, with a big idea…. working in the kitchen with my sewing machine and my screen printing materials, to a fab team of creative people who help to sew and print all the products you see in our various stockists around the country, our online shop and at the events we attend. Without them, we wouldn't have been able to grow as we have done….so, being shortlisted is credit to us all….and you for supporting us in this journey! For the final selection, we have sent off a box of lovely hand printed linens to give the judges a feel of what we do! The winners will be announced in a few days on the magazine blog…so be sure to have a look…..
