You may have already found that craft is a great way to express yourself, to create useful things or just to unwind.
I taught crafts professionally for many years and still teach from time to time. I love working with my team of makers in the studio. We share skills and experience and often come up with new product ideas from conversations or from customer feedback
If you're inspired to start a craft project, why not try one of the free sewing patterns on our website?
There's a natty bistro apron and a useful lined laundry bag. Both come with a downloadable pdf set of instructions which is emailed to you. They're great gift ideas too, either to make yourself or give to someone else to make!
You can buy linen, ticking fabric and thread for these projects from us or use up left over material from other projects that you might have at home.
Make A Lampshade!
Have you thought about joining one of our Online Lampshade Making Workshops? You don't need any prior experience and at the end of the session you'll have a lovely professional looking lampshade! Check out the website for the next session - we usually run them every three months or so and sometimes in the evening during the week, which works well for our overseas customers!
The workshops make a great alternative gift for a birthday or Mother's Day - it might be just what you're looking for!
Enjoy crafting during National Craft Month, or at any time of the year. It's a great way to use up spare fabric to create something useful.
Don't forget that we also offer fabric scrap packs in a range of sizes to help use up all our left over material.
I'd love to see what you've created. Please feel free to get in touch with us and do please post pictures of your craft items or other purchases in your homes or any questions on our social media pages; find us on Facebook or Instagram.
