Helen Round is a British textile designer and print maker. Her classic designs, inspired by the flora and fauna of the countryside and coastline are hand printed onto the highest quality linen using traditional screen printing techniques. Each product is designed to minimise waste, to tread lightly on the earth.
We are based at Maker Heights, a stunning natural setting and heritage site on the Rame peninsula in Cornwall. Maker Heights is home to a community of around 25 artists, musicians, creative and wellbeing companies who have their studios in a collection of Nissen Huts and a historic grade II listed Barrack Block.

Role purpose
The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth running of our studio, ensuring orders are processed efficiently, makers have everything they need, when they need them, stock records are kept up to date and that the shop and studio are kept tidy and organised. 
Job description
  1. To process all orders quickly and accurately to ensure the customer (wholesale and retail) receives exactly what they ordered, as soon as possible. This includes checking orders, printing labels and producing invoices, picking the products, packing them appropriately, ensuring labelling (eg customs) is correct and ensuring they are ready for the post each day. 
  2. To ensure raw materials (eg threads, packaging materials etc) remain stocked up and reordered in good time.
  3. To ensure that all studio spaces remain organised, clean and tidy.
  4. To keep the shop tidy and replenished and to serve customers as required
Person specification
  1. We are looking for a self starter with energy and drive to join our happy team. 
  2. They should be able to work to a high standard, able to recognise the importance of accuracy and care in the production of high quality products. 
  3. They will need to be organised and able to plan ahead.
  4. They will be confident and friendly dealing with customers and makers, in person, by email and over the phone
  5. They must be able to work flexibly, as part of a busy hard working team, and be keen to learn new skills
  6. We are looking for someone who is keen to make their mark by bringing suggestions for improvements and new ideas.
  7. They will need to be confident using a computer, entering sales information and particularly working with Google sheets and docs.
  8. They will work tidily and be conscientious about maintaining clean, tidy and well organised work spaces.
This is a part time, freelance 3 month internship position for 15 hours per week (days and time are negotiable). Starting rate of pay is £11.50 per hour.
