Our Holiday Packing List Guide
Wherever you’re planning to travel this summer, we have just the thing to keep holiday essentials safe and your trip eco-friendly. Our handprinted linen is lightweight and quick-drying making our products the perfect travelling companions. We have selected our top 5 suitcase essentials and also compiled a holiday reading list based on your Instagram recommendations.
Eco Soap Bag
The first of our holiday packing list essentials will help to avoid resorting to mini plastic travel bottles and containers when travelling this summer. Take your favourite soap away instead! Our linen Eco Soap Bag fits neatly in your toiletry bag and will definitely become your go to travel essential. The Eco Soap Bag is also great for shampoo bars too so no need to worry about the 100ml liquid limit when you’re about to board. We have a range of shampoo bars for sale in our Mount Edgcumbe shop.
Linen is great at drying, so the soap bag quickly absorbs moisture and helps to protect the contents of your toiletry bag from drips and slime!
To find out how to wash linen once you’re home please click here.
A Swiss study found the carbon footprint of liquid soap is 25% larger than soap in bar form on a per-wash basis. Liquid soap also needs 5 times more energy to produce and can use 20 times more packaging.
So join us in doing your bit and start using bar soap to cut down on single plastic use and waste!

Reusable Bamboo Makeup Pads
Keep up your daily cleansing ritual while you’re away with our Reusable Bamboo Face Wipes and Makeup Pads. Made using two layers of super soft bamboo, they remove make up gently and easily.
And our handy Linen Pouch Set is great for travelling. It contains a set of six reusable bamboo make up pads and a soft bamboo face cloth.
After use, just pop the pads or face cloth in the washing machine at 30 degrees or launder by hand.
Designed to be used again and again, they are an eco alternative to single use wipes and cotton pads which can be harmful to our environment.
Make up and Toiletry Bags
Our duo of lovely handprinted zipped linen bags have a waterproof lining to protect from any spillages during your trip.
The quick-drying lightweight linen bags will fast become your ideal travelling partner!
Linen Glasses Case
A small but integral holiday packing list essential will protect your specs as you relax by the pool; our beautiful handprinted Linen Glasses Case.
The soft glasses case is lined with pretty striped cotton ticking to help prevent any scratches to your eyewear. The linen case also has two layers of padding for additional protection.
And as you’ve packed your glasses, take a look at our reading list below for holiday book recommendations.
The design pictured here is from the Sailing Boat Range, the Glasses Case is also available in a Garden and Honey Bee design.
Useful Linen Pouch
Take away the panic of trying to locate your passport in amongst your luggage and keep in one of a Useful Linen Pouch instead. Featuring a strong brass zip, the pouch will provide a safe-house for your passport while leaving room for a phone and spending money.
The Large Useful Linen Pouch is printed with a hand printed design from our Honey Bee Collection. The collection was inspired by my father’s passion for bee keeping on the Rame Peninsula, Cornwall. Read more about the inspiration and story behind the designs here.
